BUTTERFLY MAKING ACTIVITY
There are many ways in which you can engage children using delightful craft activities. It can help children to develop their fine motor skills and concentration, by giving them something small and a little fiddly to focus on.
To make a pleated paper butterfly, follow these simple instructions:
- Take a square of paper and turn it so that it looks like a diamond. Accordion fold it from the bottom corner all the way to the top.
- Press the top and bottom together to create wings, using glue to hold it together.
- Repeat steps one and two with a second square of paper.
- Put both sets of wings together and wrap a pipe cleaner around them to make a butterfly body and antennae.
